Since 1996 the terminal building has virtually doubled in size with brand new and improved arrivals and departure facilities, executive lounge and other passenger lounges with two new air bridges. Recent works have been completed on a £5 million scheme to refurbish and extent the landside catering and restaurant facilities with a new aircraft maintenance facility and business and executive aviation centre are to be built on the south side of the airport.
Business Travelers the Executive lounge is fully air conditioned and imaginately designed to create a relaxing atmosphere including Wifi, pc work stations available, Complimentary newspapers, unlimited fresh tea and coffee, a well stocked free bar and light snacks are available. Users of the business lounge also have use of telephones, fax, and power points for lap tops. Pre-booking is essential for the Executive lounge as payment on the day is limited by card subject to availability and cash is not accepted as payment. Certain club members gain free access as well as certain ticket holders please check with the airline when booking.
By Rail – Tickets are available from the vast majority of train stations in the UK to the airport via Leeds City Rail Station and Bradford Interchange. Connections to and from the airport are made by the Metro Connect Bus Service. Please allow 20 minutes when using rail connections via Leeds City Station to transfer from the train to the 757 bus service. LEEDS: Metroconnect 757 provides a direct bus service to/from Leeds, serving Leeds bus and train stations, Kirkstall, Horsforth, Rawdon, Pool and Otley. HARROGATE: Bus2Jet 767 provides a direct bus service to/from Harrogate bus station, serving Pannal and Poole.
