Gatwick Airport – Flights
Before arriving at Gatwick, you should alweays check which Terminal your flight is departing from, either through your airline/ tickets or online. Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, and it is easy to find out especially if your running late so save yourself the stress and check with flight operator by checking your eticket or online before you set off to the airport.
Both terminals at Gatwick have parking and public transport facilities, as well as all the conveniences, shops and disabled access that you will need to make your journey as stress free and pleasurable as possible as long as you give yourself sufficient time to arrive in plenty of time to check in.
The North Terminal is the newer of the two, with Check In located on the third floor, and self-service Check In kiosks provided for passengers travelling on certain airlines. Additionally, a number of the airlines offer online Check In, which can save you a lot of hassle on arriving at the airport. A large number of airlines run from the North Terminal to many global locations, and you need to check the monitor screens for details of your flight.
The older South Terminal is host to almost 50 airlines serving a huge variety of international destinations. Check In takes place at the building’s right hand side, again, some airlines offer self-service and online Check In should you wish to take advantage of this. As with the North Terminal, you need to check the monitors to find out the status of your flight and whether you can pass through to the Departure Gate.
Both of Gatwick’s terminals provide an excellent range of retail and catering facilities for passengers so to save time it pays to pre book your airport parking to ensure your space and give you one less thing to do.
