Luton to Venice

Flights resume from Luton to Venice

Once again, we can fly from London to Venice. The Luton Airport in London will begin thrice a week service beginning 19 June, 2010. The London Luton Airport recently announced the operation by Wizz Air.

The flights will be on Airbus 320 jet aircraft and have low fares. The public should contact www.wizzair.com for the latest fares and rate schedules.

The London Luton Airline Manager, Simon Harley, has stated that Wizz Air  will now be operating 20 routes from London Luton to Venice. He is sure that those flights to Venice will be very successful.

The city of Venice is quite unusual since the roadways are left behind and everyone travels by boat. The wine bars, small bacaros, are along the narrow canals where both tourists and the local residents gather.

The six quarters of Venice are connected by hopping on a gondola and travelling down the Grand Canal, which intersects each district. The six sections are Dorsoduro, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Castello and of course, San Marco.

You should not worry too much about the climate and temperatures in Italy’s watery town. Surely, the summers are hot and sticky at times, but the city makes the humidity bearable. The better times to visit Venice are from Easter to June and again from September to October.

Whenever you plan to visit Venice, do not plan to travel within the city by car. You can walk or take a gondola.  No bicycles or cars can operate within the city.

The landmarks as St Mark’s Basilica, the Grand Canal, and the Piazza San Marco all welcome you check out wizzair for the prices and pre book your airport parking space at Luton right here and be assured of a space and save on the cost of turning up on the day.
